Assmann, Glashütte, 52mm, 14K gold original Assmann marked HC with gold cuvette, gilt spacing ring around mvt, white enamel DS dial, SW-shifting-locking-LS, lever escapement with gold lever, 15J, gilt mvt, s#23388 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 59.2 dwt (92.1 g). A superb example complete with its original fitted J. Assmann marked leather box containing certificate bearing correctly matched serial number as well as containing an extra mainspring wrapped in tissue paper.
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, fully wound and will tick briefly with a twist or continuously with a twist and some excess pressure held at crown, overhaul needed, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, superb gilt tone, larger winding wheel with small oxide spot at center and with some ultra-fine scratches; nearly flawless dial with only fine scratches under bezel at perimeter at 3 and between 8 and 9; nearly mint hands; case shows very little wear, some scratches at upper right perimeter of cuvette from slipped past openings, no dents or dings; tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal; box in fine condition overall with typical exterior wear, some scratches and scuffs, ding at right perimeter of top lid; certificate with some small bits of surface loss and with some creases at perimeter; extra mainspring is present; extra crystal is no longer present.
